BIZBARCELONA is a forum organized by Barcelona Activa, the local agency for promoting employment, encouraging entrepreneurship and offering support to companies in Barcelona. The 2019 edition took place in June 12-13th with the aim of helping entrepreneurs to start or make their business grow.
The event included activities in the fields of innovation, networking, consultancy or training, focused on starting or expanding emerging businesses. A round table was organized with the idea of offering start-ups information on the different types of accelerators they can apply based on responding the questions: Why, What, How, Who, When, Where and How much.
SUEZ Go Seeds was presented as an example of corporate program where the support to the start-ups is addressed through the testing of their technologies in a real environment. Representatives from SeedRocket, Ship2B and LaSalle Technova presented their initiatives where mentorship and funding are given to make start-ups grow. In the debate section, those accelerators were shown to be complementary to SUEZ Go Seeds as they can connect selected start-ups to companies and other investors.
The conclusions addressed this complementarity among different actors with the final aim of promoting a well-connected ecosystem where all players are represented.
